Maths
This year in maths, we are really focusing on learning in depth. I hope this allows the children to develop a mastery of the subject, as well as a real confidence and enjoyment when approaching mathematical problems.
If there was one area that you could focus on at home, I would say 'tables'. This is something that we cover in school, but it helps an awful lot if the children practise at home too. There are plenty of apps out there for those of you with tablets (my personal favourite being Tap Maths, although there are many more) as well as websites to improve mental speed.
