Here at Mossley, we recognise that the personal development of our students plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve their full potential. Therefore, the spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) enrichment of our students is at the heart of our school’s ethos.

We follow a set of themes and values that we have tailored to meet the needs of our children. These include; respect, responsibility, co-operation, thoughtfulness, peace, friendship, love, honesty, hope, tolerance, unity, patience, trust, care, empathy, courage, appreciation and happiness. We believe that these values will help nurture and prepare our children for life in modern Britain, today.

We are also a KiVa school here at Mossley and embed the KiVa programme into our PHSE curriculum. We believe that the values and subjects focused upon in the KiVa programme provide our children with fundamental skills to allow them to flourish as democratic, respectful and tolerant individuals as they move up through our school and out into the wider world.
