Underwater Street Trip - Reception

What a fantastic day we all had on our adventure to ‘Liverpool Underwater Street’!

We started the day on a double decker coach which was very exciting and off we went.  The ‘Underwater Street’ is a discovery centre full of various activities and workshops that allowed us to imagine, explore and learn practically in a fun, practical way J

As soon as we arrived we all had a drink and snack and listened to the staff explain all the wonderful opportunities that were available.  The children then had chance to explore the ‘Street’ which included a pizza restaurant, vets, supermarket, building site and plenty of dressing up.  We had choices to make travel bags, 3D flowers, magnets, bath bombs and smelly, slippery slime as a part of the workshops where the staff explained how each process worked.  There was also a ‘smelling wall’, water exploration, panning for gold, a ‘shadows’ room, cave with stalactites and our favourite climbing wall.  We were amazed at having the chance to paint a real car and the walls!!!!!!!

Lunch was also a fun, sociable time as we all sat together at tables and thoroughly enjoyed our picnic bags! (Thank you Mrs Speak J)  Soon it was time for our ‘Science’ workshop where we learnt how to make and move huge bubbles and watched as one of each class became a ‘professor’ and helped to invent an exploding potion.  It was fascinating!

All too soon it was time to leave with our bags of creative goodies and happy, smiling faces.  What a wonderful day and an exciting educational place to visit!  The children were a delight to take out of school as their behaviour was impeccable and a real credit to our school, we were very proud J

A huge thank you to all our helpers who came with us and helped us to manage a superb day for everyone!!
