Year 4 Experiment with eggs

In science, we tested how different liquids reacted to our teeth we used eggshells to represent our teeth. We soaked eggs in different liquids for 1 week. The different liquids we used were coke, milk, water, orange juice and vinegar. The water made the egg shell turn a darker but didn't change the egg inside. The coke and vinegar cracked the eggshell and turned it a darker colour. We now know that coke and vinegar are not good for our teeth. The orange juice made the eggshell really slippery. We really enjoyed learning about the effect different things have on our teeth.
