'Lucky Seven' Secret Story Teller
Date: 14th Oct 2015 @ 4:34pm
Well how exciting we had our seventh Secret Story Teller this week, it was Mrs Condliffe, Zac's mummy! She read us two faboulous books that both rhymed and reminded Miss Holland of one of her favourite authors and a book from her childhood too
The first story was 'Zog' written by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, a wonderful funny story from the creators of 'The Gruffalo' and 'Stick Man':
'Zog is the keenest dragon in school. He's also the most accident-prone. Luckily a mysterious little girl always comes by and patches up his bumps and bruises. But will she be able to help him with his toughest test; capturing a princess?'
We loved Sir Galahad and Princess Pearl and all had a little 'roar' to help Zog out!
Our second story was 'Green Eggs and Ham, a Dr. Seuss book which Miss Holland says she remembers reading when she was younger too. It was very funny with lots of rhyming words in sentences that were tricky to say, Mrs Condliffe did very well
' "Do you like green eggs and ham?" asks Sam-I-am....."in a house with a mouse, or a boat with a goat?" '
We all had a good chuckle at the strange food and places Sam-I-am was thinking about.
A very big THANKYOU to Mrs Condliffe for coming to read to us, we love to hear all the new stories and can't wait for more!
