Welcome to Year Five

All the children have a new set of spellings to learn for Friday and have a homework sheet to complete for Friday.  Please ensure all of your children know their 2x, 5x and 10x tables ready for the test on Friday.

16.9.16

It's been a busy week in Year Five this week.  The week began with the discovery of a mysterious sword in the woods which, after investigative work, we discovered to be a Viking sword (see our News recount videos on the English class pages).

We have been working hard internalising a recount text that we have had read to use and have been working hard to ensure we are spelling words correctly.  All children should have brought home their spelling book with spellings to learn for the spelling test next Friday.

In Maths, we have been learning to read and write large numbers up to 1 000 000.  We have also been using www.mymaths.co.uk in the computer room and all children have their online homework to complete.
