'Revisiting' Secret Story Teller

How lovely it was today to receive another visit from Mrs Dalton, Archer's Mummy as our Secret Story Teller!  She brought with her a great detective story called The Great Chicken Mystery written by Melanie Joyce and illustrated by Kirsten Collier.

'On Bluebell Farm, the chickens are mysteriously disappearing!  When Foxy is accused of stealing Farmer Bob's chicken's he decides to play detective.  Foxy creeps out at night to catch the culprit, but gets a very big surprise in the chicken coop.........'

It was a funny story that had us all guessing 'whodunit' and also initiated a fun discussion about our very own Mrs Fox!!!!   Melanie Joyce has written many lovely children's picture books such as 'The Magic Toybox', 'Scaredy Cat', 'Love Makes the World Go Round', 'Trumpty Trump' and 'Through the Starlight Window', and many more worth reading. 

A very big THANK YOU to Mrs Dalton who has entertained us again with a brilliant story, can we expect you again?!?!
