Year 6 Volcanoes
For the last week, we have been designing a 3d volcano. The materials we used were as follows:Paint (a lot of it); newspaper and kitchen roll; a plastic bottle and tape. We have been screwing the newspapeer into balls and sticking them together with PVA glue around the plastic bottle. Then we covered it with kitchen roll. After that, we painted it with either grey, brown or black paint for the base colour. We then dry brushed, which is one of the new techniques we used, and highlighted the parts that stuck out giving it a more realistic touch. We then made it drip with red and yellow paint for the lava. This has been a very fun experience and we hope to do it again. Report written by Jack Walker, Noah Negus and Ellis Statham Year 6.
