The children from Mossley have a pen pal from Lacey Green, who they have been communicating with over the past year, during their French session. Some of the Lacey Green children were able to visit Mossley and meet their pen friends this Thursday (29.11.18). They took part in a range of French speaking and listening activities to further develop their language skills. The children also devoured some yummy croissants and pain au chocolat, which were kindly donated by Jenny Owen from Morrison’s in Congleton. The children also made their own pain au chocolat with ‘jus roll’ products that were then cooked by Emma Speak for the children to take home. Emily Young, leader of languages at Mossley, and Kerry Webb, languages teacher, both said the event was a brilliant success and they are already planning further events for the future! They would also like to thank Eaton Bank Academy for the hire of their mini bus to transport the children to the event.
